    Enterprise Agreement Subscription

    The Enterprise Agreement includes a subscription option which lowers initial licensing costs because customers subscribe to the rights to use Microsoft products and services instead of owning them. Subscription also includes the ability to increase or decrease subscription counts on an annual basis.

    Microsoft Open License

    Open License is a good choice if your customer is a corporate, academic, charitable, or government organization that wants to pay as they go. They must have a minimum initial purchase of five software licenses for an Open License agreement, and they can acquire additional licensed products through Open License in any quantity at any time during the two-year agreement term.

    Open Value is a comprehensive Microsoft Volume Licensing program for small and midsize commercial and government organizations that want a flexible and affordable way to purchase on-premises licenses. Open Value is also an easy way to subscribe to select cloud-based services for the latest Microsoft technology.

    Microsoft Open Value Subscription

    Open Value Subscription provides the lowest up-front costs of the Open Program options with the flexibility to reduce the total licensing costs in years when the desktop PC count declines. This option gives your customers the rights to run the software throughout their organization only during the term of the agreement with Microsoft. They also have the ability to add the single platform option to an Open Value Subscription agreement.

    Select Plus

    Select Plus is being retired in 2015.

    New Select Plus commercial agreements can no longer be sold starting July 1, 2015. This only applies in countries where the MPSA is available, and does not apply to Select Plus agreements for government and academic customers.

    The Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) offers Microsoft Online Services and software transactional purchasing through a simpler and more flexible agreement compared to Select Plus, and will be available worldwide in July 2015.     With the SPLA, service providers and independent software vendors (ISVs) can license eligible Microsoft products on a monthly basis, during a three-year agreement term, to host software services and applications to end customers. The SPLA program provides the license rights to host specific Microsoft Products as outlined in the Microsoft Service Provider Use Rights (SPUR) with pricing based on use rights.     The Microsoft ISV Royalty Licensing Program offers independent software vendors (ISVs) a convenient way to license Microsoft products and integrate them into a unified solution. ISVs can then replicate the business solution and distribute a fully licensed solution to their end users.
