    1. 1. Complete your organization’s profile
      • Your Microsoft Partner Network account administrator must provide pertinent information about your organization.
    2. 2. Provide customer evidence
      • Your organization must submit three unique customer references that do the following:
        • Feature the implementation, deployment, customization, or maintenance of a Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution
        • Detail a project that you have completed within the past 12 months
        • Can be verified with your customer
    3. 3. Meet a revenue goal
      • Microsoft Partner Network members with a silver competency must meet a minimum revenue and Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP) revenue recapture rates.
      • VAR track
      • Total annual gross license revenue goal:
        • Market A: US$75,000
        • Market B and C: US$40,000
      • BREP Revenue Recapture Rate:
        • Market A: 65 percent
        • Market B and C: 40 percent
      • Application track
      • Total annual gross license revenue goal:
        • Market A: US$400,000
        • Market B and C: US$200,000
      • For more details about market A, B, and C designations, refer to the country groupings section in the Microsoft Gold Competency Revenue Guidelines document. Note that country groupings are the same for silver or gold competencies.
      • Note: Effective August 15, 2014, Partners gaining their MPN ERP Competency through the sales of Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics SL, Dynamics RMS, or Dynamics C5 no longer are required to pass certification exams. This includes pre-sales and sales assessments as well as implementation methodology and technical certifications covering both SPA and MPN
      • Partners that are gaining their MPN Silver ERP Competency through the sales of Dynamics AX must meet the following certification requirements:
      • Three individuals collectively must pass the following (all individuals must pass at least 1 exam):

        Two individuals each must pass the following exam:

      • Your organization can attain multiple competencies. If your employees or contractors pass the eligible competency exams for multiple silver competencies, you can count those exams toward attaining multiple silver competencies.

    4. 4. Pass business assessments
      • One individual must pass the following business assessment:
        • 2014 Sales Assessment – Enterprise Resource Planning (AX)
          OR
          Sales Specialist Assessment for ERP
          OR
          Standard Sales Assessment for ERP
      • One individual must pass the following business assessment:
        • 2014 Presales Technical Assessment – Enterprise Resource Planning (AX)
          OR
          Presales Technical Specialist Assessment for ERP
    5. 5. ISV track
      • Your organization must submit one product that has passed one of the following Software Solution tests:
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015
        • Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011

      • One individual must pass the following exam:
        • Exam MB5-705: Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations
      • Qualifying applications include developed and marketed, packaged software solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Custom-written applications not meant for resale do not qualify.

    6. 6. For Dynamics AX Partners only: Pass the business-focused assessment (VAR track only)
      • One individual must pass one of the following:
        • 2014 Sales Assessment – Enterprise Resource Planning (AX)
        • Sales Specialist Assessment for ERP
        • Standard Sales Assessment for ERP

        One individual must pass one of the following presales assessments
        • 2014 Presales Technical Assessment – Enterprise Resource Planning (AX)
        • Presales Technical Specialist Assessment for ERP
    7. 7. Pay the silver competency fee
      • To complete your enrollment in the competency, you must pay the silver competency fee. The fee is due one time per year—no matter how many competencies your organization earns. This fee will also be presented to you during the enrollment process. Your actual fee will be based on the physical location of your company.

    1. 1. Complete your organization’s profile
      • Your Microsoft Partner Network account administrator must provide pertinent information about your organization.
    2. 2. Provide customer evidence
      • Your organization must have five customer references that feature how, within the previous 12 months, you have provided solutions based on the products and technologies associated with this competency. After a reference has been approved by your customer and by Microsoft, it can be used toward earning or renewing a competency for up to two years. Review a sample customer reference email that can be used for customer references for this competency.

      • Microsoft Partner Network members with a gold competency must meet a minimum revenue and Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP) revenue recapture.

      • Total annual gross license revenue goal:
        • Market A: US$175,000
        • Market B and C: US$75,000
      • BREP Revenue Recapture Rate:
        • Market A: 85 percent
        • Market B and C: 60 percent
      • Application track
      • Total annual gross license revenue goal:
        • Market A: US$750,000
        • Market B and C: US$400,000

      • Your employees and contractors may take and pass multiple gold competency exams. However, if your organization employs or contracts with someone who holds multiple certifications, that person’s credentials will count toward only one gold competency.

        Your organization must submit a product or application that has passed the qualifying application test: Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD).

        Note: qualifying applications include developed and marketed, packaged software solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Custom-written applications not meant for resale do not qualify.
      • Note: Effective August 15, 2014, Partners gaining their MPN ERP Competency through the sales of Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics SL, Dynamics RMS, or Dynamics C5 no longer are required to pass certification exams.       • Two individuals must pass one of the following business assessment:

        • Standard Sales Assessment for ERP
      • One individual must pass the following business assessments:
        • 2014 Presales Technical Assessment – Enterprise Resource Planning (AX)
        • Presales Technical Specialist Assessment for ERP
    6. 6. Gold competency fee
      • To complete your enrollment in the competency, you must pay the gold competency fee. The fee is due one time per year—no matter how many competencies your company earns.         Partners who attain a gold competency after they have already attained that silver competency, can upgrade that year to gold for no additional cost (unless a partner is within the last 90-day renewal period, in which case the full gold competency membership fee is due).
